Meet and Greet '16

Salam alaikum to brothers and sisters, We had our first official event on 2016 with our returning and new members, which was Meet and Greet. The main objective of this event is to introduce committees and explain their job scopes. We also present the activities that we had plan throughout for the year. We opened for questions, concern and suggestions from the members to listen for their needs and to get better in the future. As we have diverse members which come from all sorts of countries, the committees feel the responsibility to unite all members in a way where we can communicate between one another. So, this was also a great chance for the members to get to know each other. Thank you to those who came and keep supporting us because we also would like the best to be delivered to you. The details of the event are as follows: Date: 16 March 2016 Day: Wednesday Time: 6:00pm - 6:30pm Venue: SUMT 229 It was an honor the VicMuslims Club to welcome the club's Presi

The details are as follows: Venue: Student Islamic Centre (SIC), Kirk building, Kelburn campus Date: 13th February 2016 Time: 8.00pm We were hoping that our friend will be strong and able to continue lives as usual. Islam faith and Muslim culture

Salam alaik, The new high committees members of VicMuslims Club for 2016 had a chance to mingle with students, ages 7 to 9 years old from Karori Brownie Unit aka Girl Guiding. We had a chance to talk about Islam faith and Muslim culture as requested from the students' leader. The details of the event as follows: Venue: Karori Community Centre Date: 4th November 2015 TIme: 6.15pm It was an honor to represent our Muslim culture and had an opportunity to introduce about our beautiful religion to the children. They were puzzled to see us as we were wearing hijab. However, due to time constraint, we only able to explain and answer a few questions to clear out any misunderstanding that they have. We can see the curiousity and enthusiasm from the students to learn more about us as they were so excited to participate in activities. Hopefully, the main objective for this program can be achieved as we want to increase the awareness of other people about Islam. We would really love i
