Salatul hajat - trimester 1 '16

Salam alaikum,

Last week was the last week for lectures and showed that we are getting nearer to final examinations and major assignments are due soon. This week is the study week where there will be no classes as students can focus on their study for the preparation for final examination. Therefore, VicMuslims Club conducted an event of Salatul Hajat. This was one way of us to make dua' and effort, the last resort is to tawakkal (relying on Allah to let Him decide what is best for us).

And Alhamdulillah, the event went well as our President lead the event and provide a short tazkirah as a reminder on what we should be as a student and also a Muslim. We were also thankful to those who brought meals and to be shared with others. We hope, everyone can get through this first trimester successful and manage to face final paper without any trouble. InsyaAllah.

Isra Mikraj Talk 2017

After the Prophet performed the Evening Prayer  (^Ish a '), Jibr i l  came to him with a white animal, slightly larger than a donkey yet smaller than a mule. This animal was the  bur aq ,--one of the animals of Paradise.  Jibr i l  held the  bur aq  by his ear and told the Prophet to mount it. When the  bur aq  was mounted, the Prophet   set forth.  The  bur aq  is a very fast animal; the length of the  bur aq 's  stride is the farthest distance it's eye can see. The Prophet and  Jibr i l  arrived to a land with palm trees.  Jibr i l  told the Prophet to dismount and pray, so the Prophet dismounted the  bur aq  and prayed two  rak^as .  Jibr i l  asked him, "Do you know where you prayed?" and the Prophet answered, " All a h  knows best."  Jibr i l  told him, "This is  Yathrib ; this is  T aybah . "." (These are two names for the city...

Horse Riding activity

Horse riding activity - checked! Assalamualaikum everyone, Alhamdulillah, praise to the Greatest Lord we are able to conduct our first event as VicMuslims club committees 2015/2016. The original price for each person to ride a horse is $40, but we subsidise about $15 for each person. So, they only need to pay $25 (excluding transportation). There were 19 students joined this event including our Mr President and one driver. These are other information about this event: Company: Coastal Views Horse Treks Venue: (office) 85b Main Road, Wainuimata Lower Hutt Date: 20 October 2015 Time: 9:00 am until 4:00pm The instructor was so friendly and well-experience. He was not only taught us about riding a horse, but also the importance of handling our fear while facing a problem. Dealing with animals aren't always the same as we deal with humans or machine. Everyone was having so much and that is what matter us the most. By the way, if you are a biker and you think you can...
