Exam Week: Stress-Free Snacks

In conjunction of Final Exam Week for trimester 2 in Victoria University of Wellington, VicMuslims Club decided to participate in Stress-Free Week program organized by VUWSA by giving out free snack pack which included chocolates, candy and sweets with a motivational quotes attached to the packs just to increased the spirit of learning into the students.

The free snacks were distributed at all campuses which are Te Aro campus (at the entrance lobby), Pipitea campus (at the railway station) as well as the main campus, Kelburn (at the Hub). It was a pleasure to see happy faces when they received the snacks from our committees. The pack distribution in three campuses finished within two hours since there were so many people studying at university.

Isra Mikraj Talk 2017

After the Prophet performed the Evening Prayer  (^Ish a '), Jibr i l  came to him with a white animal, slightly larger than a donkey yet smaller than a mule. This animal was the  bur aq ,--one of the animals of Paradise.  Jibr i l  held the  bur aq  by his ear and told the Prophet to mount it. Stress Free Snacks

Our ancestors acknowledged the role of fresh fruits or nuts a part of their daily diet. De-stressing through drinks and snacks has become a part of our daily routine. The little and often food has changed our lifestyle which makes us feel more hungry. However, the old eating habits brought natural calm while we sustained more energy for the whole day than depending on the multivitamins as a remedy.  Different researchers have shown the adverse effect of stress can directly lead to unstable eating and can cause hormonal shifts and other disabilities in the body.  The purpose of this little giveaway initiative during the examination period is to make students somewhat realize that their stresses are dependent on their healthy eating habits and the food is always the best remedy which they require at the right time of the day. The old saying like healthy body has a healthy mind acknowledges the role of our body for sustaining pressures. So join us for this free event...
