Event of Khadija Entrepreneurship

Alhamdulillah,

After the successful event last year the Khadija Entrepreneurship happened on 4th April 2017 at Victoria University of Wellington (VUW). This event was conducted with the collaboration of two clubs of VUW: VicMuslims Club and Wellington Malaysian Students' Organisation (WMSO) trough all the organizational and managerial things were facilitated by Vicmuslims club.  Few clubs also showed their interest to collaborate for this event such as V-ISA (VUWSA International Students' Association), VicPak Club and Singapore Club (VISCA - VUW Singapore Association).
The tremendous honor for Hazrat Khadija (رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھا) is that Almighty Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) accepted her strives and revealed the following Verses of the holy Quran: “And when we found you in need, we made you needless” – Surah 93 (Zuha): Verse 8. Hazrat Khadija (رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھا) was the well-off entrepreneur of the complete Arab territory and after the announcement of Islam by the holy Prophet (صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ) she donated all her riches for the benefit of Islam.  The aim of this event was to make students realize about such an important role model.
Alhamdulillah. Response from all visitors and vendors was great. Everyone had so much fun and some also stated that they believed that they learned a lot especially in building their entrepreneurship skill and managing a business. We had many activities for both visitors and vendors to participate during the event. There was best photo competition, lucky draw contest (the more you buy, higher chance to win) as five lucky winners were selected and also Best Stall competition.
The best thing about the event was the 'Variety of food'. Surely, we will continue this event with the different theme each year (InshaAllah) as we got an overwhelming response from everyone. Thank you so much for your support and keep updated on the Facebook or Instagram.
Lastly, congratulations to all winners.

Isra Mikraj Talk 2017

After the Prophet performed the Evening Prayer  (^Ish a '), Jibr i l  came to him with a white animal, slightly larger than a donkey yet smaller than a mule. This animal was the  bur aq ,--one of the animals of Paradise.  Jibr i l  held the  bur aq  by his ear and told the Prophet to mount it. When the  bur aq  was mounted, the Prophet   set forth.  The  bur aq  is a very fast animal; the length of the  bur aq 's  stride is the farthest distance it's eye can see. The Prophet and  Jibr i l  arrived to a land with palm trees.  Jibr i l  told the Prophet to dismount and pray, so the Prophet dismounted the  bur aq  and prayed two  rak^as .  Jibr i l  asked him, "Do you know where you prayed?" and the Prophet answered, " All a h  knows best."  Jibr i l  told him, "This is  Yathrib ; this is  T aybah . More details about the event is as follow: Venue: Student Islamic Centre (SIC), Kirk Building, Kelburn campus Date: 25 October 2015 Time: 7:45pm Recitation and Refreshment It was a potluck-based event. Stress Free Snacks

Our ancestors acknowledged the role of fresh fruits or nuts a part of their daily diet. De-stressing through drinks and snacks has become a part of our daily routine. The little and often food has changed our lifestyle which makes us feel more hungry. However, the old eating habits brought natural calm while we sustained more energy for the whole day than depending on the multivitamins as a remedy.  Different researchers have shown the adverse effect of stress can directly lead to unstable eating and can cause hormonal shifts and other disabilities in the body.  The purpose of this little giveaway initiative during the examination period is to make students somewhat realize that their stresses are dependent on their healthy eating habits and the food is always the best remedy which they require at the right time of the day. The old saying like healthy body has a healthy mind acknowledges the role of our body for sustaining pressures. So join us for this free event...
