Islam faith and Muslim culture

The new high committees members of VicMuslims Club for 2016 had a chance to mingle with students, ages 7 to 9 years old from Karori Brownie Unit aka Girl Guiding. We had a chance to talk about Islam faith and Muslim culture as requested from the students' leader.

The details of the event as follows:
Venue: Karori Community Centre
Date: 4th November 2015
TIme: 6.15pm

It was an honor to represent our Muslim culture and had an opportunity to introduce about our beautiful religion to the children. They were puzzled to see us as we were wearing hijab. However, due to time constraint, we only able to explain and answer a few questions to clear out any misunderstanding that they have. We can see the curiousity and enthusiasm from the students to learn more about us as they were so excited to participate in activities. Hopefully, the main objective for this program can be achieved as we want to increase the awareness of other people about Islam. We would really love if this event can be continued from time to time.

Stress Free Snacks

Our ancestors acknowledged the role of fresh fruits or nuts a part of their daily diet. De-stressing through drinks and snacks has become a part of our daily routine. The little and often food has changed our lifestyle which makes us feel more hungry. However, the old eating habits brought natural calm while we sustained more energy for the whole day than depending on the multivitamins as a remedy. Different researchers have shown the adverse effect of stress can directly lead to unstable eating and can cause hormonal shifts and other disabilities in the body. The purpose of this little giveaway initiative during the examination period is to make students somewhat realize that their stresses are dependent on their healthy eating habits and the food is always the best remedy which they require at the right time of the day. Post-Eid celebration

Salam alaikum, Nothing can describe the beauty in celebrating Eid Celebration. VicMuslims had conducted Post-Eid celebration with As this is a POTLUCK event, many people brought foods. Alhamdulillah, we thank ALL for bringing such meals to be shared with other people. Nothing can describe their happy faces. Enjoy your meal. Everyone was waiting for their turn to grab food served on a table. This event was not just about eating, it was also about gathering, meeting new people and mingle with others. This is the time to free yourselves from gadgets, from thinking of hectic life as a students; this is the time to relax your mind and meet friends. Vicmuslim Annual Grand Meeting

Hi and assalamualaikum everyone! Thank you for making the AGM and solatul hajat program a success one! We hope everyone had safely gone back home with their happy stomach and soul hehe Sadly, that was our last event for this year 😢 We want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who have actively participated in the club's activities for these past one year. There are not enough words to fully express our heartfelt thanks for the love and support you have extended to this club. Here is a virtual flower for you 🌹 Next year will be a fresh start for the new executive members, so do join us to see what they can offer to this club! I hope you guys are all excited for the upcoming year (because I do! Hehe) Also, good luck for you final exam!
