Registration - trimester 1 2016

Salam alaik everyone,

Alhamdulillah, praise be to Allah, we were able to book a booth for Clubs Week on the 1st until 3rd of March. High committees that were involved for Clubs Week had a brief meeting to make sure all preparations are ready. We welcome all Muslims and non-Muslims students in Victoria University of Wellington (VUW) to be members of our club. Alhamdulillah, we achieved our target to have about 150 students to register with us.

Meeting the night before Clubs Week
First day of Clubs Week

The details of Clubs Week were as follows:
Date: 1/3/2016 - 3/3/2016
Day: Tuesday - Thursday
Time: 10.00am - 2.30pm
Location: The Hub, Kelburn campus

For this year's session, the committees decided to waive the registration fee. Therefore, we accepted donation at our booth. We truly appreciate those who donate with us. We will use them wisely and will only spend the money for our club's activities. May Allah help you and grants the du'a(s) that you make.

It was great to meet new and familiar faces. We were so excited to get to know everyone that we'll meet for this year's session. We guarantee meaningful and exciting events for our beloved members. Please look forward for our next events and updates.

Isra Mikraj Talk 2017

After the Prophet performed the Evening Prayer  (^Ish a '), Jibr i l  came to him with a white animal, slightly larger than a donkey yet smaller than a mule. This animal was the  bur aq ,--one of the animals of Paradise.  Jibr i l  held the  bur aq  by his ear and told the Prophet to mount it. When the  bur aq  was mounted, the Prophet   set forth.  The  bur aq  is a very fast animal; the length of the  bur aq 's  stride is the farthest distance it's eye can see. The Prophet and  Jibr i l  arrived to a land with palm trees.  Jibr i l  told the Prophet to dismount and pray, so the Prophet dismounted the  bur aq  and prayed two  rak^as .  Jibr i l  asked him, "Do you know where you prayed?" and the Prophet answered, " All a h  knows best."  Jibr i l  told him, "This is  Yathrib ; this is  T aybah . "." (These are two names for the city...

Horse Riding activity

Horse riding activity - checked! Assalamualaikum everyone, Alhamdulillah, praise to the Greatest Lord we are able to conduct our first event as VicMuslims club committees 2015/2016. The original price for each person to ride a horse is $40, but we subsidise about $15 for each person. So, they only need to pay $25 (excluding transportation). There were 19 students joined this event including our Mr President and one driver. These are other information about this event: Company: Coastal Views Horse Treks Venue: (office) 85b Main Road, Wainuimata Lower Hutt Date: 20 October 2015 Time: 9:00 am until 4:00pm The instructor was so friendly and well-experience. He was not only taught us about riding a horse, but also the importance of handling our fear while facing a problem. Dealing with animals aren't always the same as we deal with humans or machine. Everyone was having so much and that is what matter us the most. By the way, if you are a biker and you think you can...
